Hello everyone, how are you doing? Are you holding up in this heat lately? Honestly, I keep wondering: how do you manage to cope with waking up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat, sheets sticking to your skin, with that suffocating feeling of being trapped in a room where the air just isn’t moving at all?
Maybe it’s not the case for everyone, but personally, I’m really starting to feel overwhelmed by these temperatures. Just a few degrees less would already be a huge relief. Even this morning, I woke up very early, almost at dawn, just to enjoy the little bit of coolness left before the sun took over again—as if it too had come out of a scorching night, ready to make the day even heavier.
Despite everything, I tried to do things right: I went to bed early, left the windows wide open to let some air in… but nothing. Not a breath of wind, not the slightest breeze. The air was still, heavy, almost oppressive. Impossible to breathe properly or find a comfortable position. The result: a restless night, and this morning, a deep fatigue that just won’t go away.
Today, I feel completely drained, like I’ve been emptied out. So I’m thinking the best thing to do might be to escape this stifling heat for a while. I feel like hitting the road, heading up into the mountains, maybe finding a spot by a river. To see if there’s still some water left, hear the sound of the current, finally feel cooler air on my face… just to breathe again, to feel a bit lighter.
Because at this point, it’s no longer just about comfort—it’s almost become a necessity to find a place where you can simply… breathe.
So , what else can I tell you?
Oh right—I've got a friend who came over to stay for about ten days. Since I don’t really have the space to host her, I got in touch with a friend of mine who rents out apartments and managed to negotiate a place for her at more than half the usual price for those ten days . It works out for him, it works out for her , and he told me , “At least I know who’s staying there—I know that with you , there won’t be any problems .” ^^
Sometimes there are always much cheaper alternatives than hotels, especially during the holiday season when hotel prices are through the roof .
Today again , the automated curation bot is continuing its work. It upvotes posts that have more than 500 words and a good reputation . It may miss some along the way due to a lack of mana , and also because it’s still running on my personal computer . But now I’ve decided to go see the guy in my town who builds small second-hand PCs , to find out what he could offer me at a low price just to run simple programs .
