Taking a small strategic break from curation to let the voting mana slowly recharge back to 100%. Yes, a well-deserved rest, like a warrior recovering after an epic battle… except the battle was mostly against posts and buttons to click 😄. The goal: come back at full power, like a Pokémon after an extended stay at the healing center.

And honestly, it won’t hurt to give the automated curation server a bit of a break too. The poor thing has been running non-stop for hours, and with this heatwave, even it is starting to struggle. And that’s saying something, considering it’s sitting right next to the air conditioning. Just goes to show—even with VIP access to cool air, you can still end up overheating… digitally speaking. At this rate, it might start asking for paid vacation or its own personal turbo fan.

So yeah, general pause: I recharge my mana, the server cools down its circuits, and everyone gets to breathe a little. Well… “breathe” might be a strong word given the current temperature. Let’s say we try not to melt completely.

According to the weather forecast, there’s supposed to be a thunderstorm within the next hour. Now, allow me to be just a tiny bit skeptical. Because when I look out the window, it feels more like I’m in the middle of a Sahara documentary. The sun is blazing so hard my eyes are seriously considering filing for sick leave, and as for the sky… not a single cloud in sight. Nothing. Absolute cloudless emptiness. Even a shy little cloud would be appreciated at this point, but nope.

That said, if by some miracle the forecast actually turns out to be right for once, and a proper thunderstorm rolls in—with rain, wind, and dramatic atmosphere—I’m all in. A good, refreshing downpour that cools everything down and makes life feel possible again would honestly be a blessing. Even the plants on my balcony have started judging me.

Anyway, while waiting for the sky to make up its mind and for my mana to reach full capacity, I’ll just sit back and be patient… trying not to slowly cook in the process. 😅

After this little post, I’m going to take a nice shower, because after a full day of working in this heatwave, I can definitely smell myself… which is not exactly a pleasant experience 😅. So yeah, a good shower is needed—not just to deal with the smell, but also to cool down a bit.

Quick tip: avoid taking a cold shower in this kind of heat. Your body will actually waste energy trying to warm itself back up afterward. A lukewarm shower is much better and more effective.

But hey… do whatever you want lol 😄

Alright, have a great day, evening, or night—whichever it is for you—and good luck… especially if you manage to sleep in this heat 😅

Stay strong everyone, and try to keep cool if you can. If things get too extreme at work and it starts becoming dangerous for your health, don’t hesitate to use your right to step away.

And most importantly: stay hydrated. Drink water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Your body will thank you later 👍
