Walking for the Manzanares River and its surroundings

Happy Thursday, everyone in this great #worldmappin community! I wish all of you the very best. It’s wonderful to share my visit to the Manzanares River and its surroundings, “which runs from south to north, flows into the Gulf of Cariaco, and then continues its course toward the Caribbean Sea, in the municipality of Sucre, Cumaná, VENEZUELA—an iconic and beautiful place where you can enjoy yourself and relax.”

Es maravilloso compartir mi visita a Visita al rio Manzanares y sus alrededores, "Ubicado de sur a norte, y desembocar en el golfo de Cariaco, para luego continuar su curso hacia el mar Caribe, del municipio Sucre, Cumaná.- VENEZUELA, un lugar icónico y hermoso donde podrías disfrutar y relajarte.

One beautiful morning, as I was walking, I crossed the Manzanares River, enjoying the atmosphere. Even though it was hot in the city and the sun was shining brightly, it felt cool—because when you visit this place, you’re surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna. It’s considered the “lungs” of Cumaná, where you breathe in fresh air while the trees provide shade.

Cuando caminaba una mañana radiante, atravese el Rio Manzanares, disfrutando del ambiente, que apesar que en esta cuidad el calor se hace presente y que el sol estaba brillante, estaba fresco, porque se disfruta cuando visitas este lugar, esta rodeado de una flora y fauna agradable, considerado el pulmón de Cumaná, porque respiras aire puro, mientras los árboles te acobijan.

An environment where you can see a wide variety of plants. Its watershed is home to species typical of riparian forests, as well as a variety of fish—some of which are invasive species—and aquatic fauna adapted to the habitat gradient from the mountains to the estuary. You can see tall palm trees greeting you, apamates, and seiba, taparas, as well as fruit trees such as banana, tamarind, mango, and almendrón.

Un ambiente en donde puedes ver las diversidades de plantas, Su cuenca tiene especies típicas de bosques ribereños, además una variedad de peces sujeta a especies invasoras y fauna acuática adaptada a su gradiente desde la montaña hasta el estuario. Puedes visualisar los altas palmeras que te saludan, apamates, seiba, Taparas, también frutales como Bananas, Tamarindo, mangos y almendrón.

I took these photos while walking through Ayacucho Park, along its long granite sidewalks, where you can also rest and sit on the benches while taking in the beautiful natural surroundings—the plants and the river—and listening to the birds, whose songs are music to our ears.

Estas imagenes las tomé cuando iva por el parque Ayacucho, cuando caminaba por las largas y aceras de granito, donde también puedes descansar y sentarte en los bancos, mientras observas la maravillosa naturaleza, sus plantas y el rio, escuchando las aves que son armonia para nuestros oidos.

You'll find many shops along the river, as it's located in the heart of the city, where there are theaters, churches, shopping centers, and more. As a result, you'll see many locals out and about here every day, starting very early in the morning. Cultural, educational, and political events are also frequently held here.

Por los alrededores del rio encontraras muchos comercios, ya que esta ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, donde existen teatros, iglesias, centros comerciales, entre otros, por lo tanto, veras muchos lugareños cada día desde bien temprano transitando por este ambiente. Además los actos culturales, educativos y politicos se hacen presentes con frecuencia en este lugar.

The Manzanares River originates in the Turimiquire mountain range and flows for approximately 80 kilometers before passing through the city of Cumaná. It is an iconic place and a source of inspiration for everyone, having inspired poems and songs by local artists.

El Rio Manzanares viene desde la serranía del Turimiquire y recorre aproximadamente 80 kilómetros antes de discurrir por la ciudad de Cumaná. Lugar icónico y fuente de inspiración para todos, en la cual existen poemas y canciones producidas por los artistas de esta ciudad.

During my walk, I also noticed that the river looks wide, with its stone walls; thanks to the dredging carried out in recent months, the river’s flow is now smoother, and the surrounding area is well-maintained and clean, making it a pleasant place to visit.

También pude observar en mi caminata, que el rio se ve amplio, con los muros de piedras, gracias al dragado que se realizó los meses pasados permiento que el caudal del rio sea mas fluido, y sus alrededores bien cuidado y limpio haciendo del lugar agradable.

After enjoying a wonderful day in nature—on my walk along the Manzanares River—and a good chat with a friend, I came home. I hope you liked my photos of this beautiful part of my city. That’s all for now, my fellow adventurers.
