একদা নিশীথে মেঘের ডাকে তন্দ্রা গেল টুটি
আকাশ গাঙের চন্দ্র তারা নিয়েছে আজ ছুটি।শয্যা শয়ন ছেড়ে একেলা ভাবছি গৃহকোণ কালবৈশাখীর তাণ্ডব একী নিশুতি রাত্রিক্ষণ!
গগনবিদারি বজ্রে হিয়া কাঁপিছে দুরু দুরু ঘূর্ণিপবন বহে শনশন নৃত্যে ভূতল তরু।বজ্রমেঘের বৈরী নিশি তন্দ্রাহারা আঁখি বিজন গৃহে একেলা জেগে স্রষ্টাকে আজ ডাকি।
দ্যুলোক ভূলোক সপ্তগগন চন্দ্র তারা রবি
নিখিল জগৎ মনুষ্যকূল সৃষ্টি যে তাঁর ছবি।সৃষ্টি লয়ে স্রষ্টা খেলে আপন কৌতূহলে বিশ্বনৃত্যে মনুষ্যকূল স্রষ্টাকে রয় ভুলে।
প্রকৃতির এ বৈরী লীলায় মেতেছেন আজ যিনি সাধ্য কাহার থামায় খেলা কান্ডারি সেই তিনি।স্রষ্টা ধ্যানেই লগ্ন গেল কমলো পবন বেগ সাঙ্গ হলো নিশীথকালের বৈরী বজ্রমেঘ।

Once at midnight, the roar of clouds broke my slumber, The moon and stars of the sky-river have taken a holiday today.Leaving my bed, I ponder alone in the corner of my room, What a fierce tempest of the Nor'wester in this dead of night!
The heart trembles in fear at the sky-rending thunder, The whirlwind blows with a howling sound, making the trees dance on earth.In this hostile night of thunderclouds, my eyes are stripped of sleep, Awake alone in this lonely house, I call upon the Creator today.
The heavens, the earth, the seven skies, the moon, stars and sun, The entire universe and mankind are all creations of His reflection.The Creator plays with His creation out of His own curiosity, Yet mankind remains forgetful of the Creator amidst the dance of the world.
He who has indulged today in this hostile play of nature, Who has the power to stop this game? He is the ultimate Captain.Engaged in the meditation of the Creator, the wind's speed finally slowed, And the hostile thunderclouds of the midnight came to an end.
