Cuando era pequeña cada año en la temporada de vacaciones si se podía buscamos lugares donde viajar y pasar unos días diferentes a lo habitual, aunque mi papá casi siempre trataba que junto con mi tía y su familia lograríamos salir a diferentes lugares del país, sobre todo algunos más lejos que en carro resultaba mejor ir, por los gastos y ellos también, en el país hay gran variedad de lugares para disfrutar, desde montañas, frio, hasta calor como médanos o la playa, dependiendo de lo que quieras en el momento o desees para entonces se tiene para escoger, lo cual resulta agradable porque en el mismo territorio lo tienes, variedad y buenos lugares donde pasar, hasta pueblos tranquilos en donde puedes descansar sin estrés y tener un ambiente distinto.
Como lo es el caso de Upata, un lugar que ofrece gran variedad de paisajes naturales, lo cual resulta tranquilizador, porque sale de lo habitual de la ciudad, un pueblo de personas cálidas, aunque pasamos un rato por ahí hace tanto tiempo aprovechando de visitar a mi tío que vive por ahí, resultó ser bueno pasar por ese lugar, sobre todo por su queso, aunque los casos hechos en el país son sabrosos, en esta zona tiene un sabor muy bueno y característicos que se te hace agua la boca, resulta excelente disfrutar de ello, sobre todo el queso de mano súper sabroso, con una cachapa o arepa en el desayuno resulta estupendo, es una zona que te ofrece buen paisaje y comida excelente para el paladar.

When I was little, every year during vacation season, if we could, we’d look for places to travel to and spend a few days doing something different from the usual. Although my dad almost always tried to arrange for us—along with my aunt and her family—to visit different parts of the country, especially some places farther away where it was better to go by car, for cost reasons—and they felt the same way. There’s a wide variety of places to enjoy in the country, from mountains and cold weather to hot spots like sand dunes or the beach. Depending on what you’re in the mood for at the time, there’s plenty to choose from, which is nice because you have that variety right here at home—great places to visit, including quiet towns where you can relax without stress and experience a different atmosphere.
Take Upata, for example—a place that offers a wide variety of natural landscapes, which is soothing because it’s a break from the usual city life. It’s a town full of warm, friendly people. Although we only spent a short time there a long time ago while visiting my uncle who lives in the area, it turned out to be a great experience, especially because of the cheese. While the cheeses made here in the country are tasty, in this area it has a particularly delicious and distinctive flavor that makes your mouth water. It’s a real treat to enjoy it—especially the super-tasty “queso de mano,” which is fantastic with a cachapa or arepa for breakfast. It’s a region that offers beautiful scenery and excellent food for the palate.
