Saludos amigos lectores

![ENGLISH]

Today I’m starting my post with a question: Who likes being sick? I don’t think any of us likes being stuck in bed—for me, being inactive is something that makes me anxious and stressed. But I think that sometimes the body needs rest, and that’s why it reacts in a way that forces us to rest, since we don’t give it the rest it needs. I’ve been in bed for just under 5 days.

On the first day, I said, “Well, my body deserves a rest, so I’m going to give it that and rest because I need to.” On the second day, I felt better and thought, “Okay, I’ll rest a little longer—my body still needs it.” I’m still not 100%. Maybe sometimes we see our bodies as a rechargeable battery that says “Charged,” and we even want to give it a quick charge so we can keep going. Unfortunately, we don’t work that way.

By the third day, I did start to worry. I said to myself, “It’s time to get up and start doing what I need to do”—as if the world stops when someone dies, as if we’re somehow so indispensable that if we don’t do things, life comes to a halt. But that doesn’t happen; everything goes on just the same, whether you’re there or not.

On the fourth day, I said, “Enough is enough. Now that I’m feeling better, let’s start doing the day’s activities,” and that’s when your body tells you, “It’s not your time yet,” and you back down. That’s when you remember all the people who are suffering from serious illnesses that keep them bedridden, and when you know that your mind plays an important role, you have to talk to yourself and tell yourself as many positive things as you can—that’s when your faith is tested the most. You have to be strong and tell yourself, “Everything’s going to be okay,” and wait until the next day to see what happens, as Matthew says in the Bible, “Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

So here I am, hoping that tomorrow will be better, that my health will return soon so I can move forward. In the meantime, I’m keeping a positive mindset and enjoying days filled with soccer and TV shows—finding the good in the bad. That’s how we learn to see the good in the bad; nothing bad lasts forever, and no body can withstand it forever.
