![ENGLISH]

Exploring is one of my favorite things to do, and today I’m sharing a little “Throwback Thursday” post about one of those trips you take on a whim. We went to Puerto Cabello to enjoy a day at the beach, as we often do on weekends, so our daughter could get to know the place—since my son, unfortunately, couldn’t come with us. It was an impromptu trip just to soak up some sun and take a nice dip.

That day we decided to walk through the town of Puerto Cabello, which is beautiful. It really stands out as a tourist destination, and there are several places to visit. Since it was our first time exploring that area, we went into a small museum where they had many stories about the town and its culture. What we didn’t know was that this small museum had so much to offer.

Inside the museum, there was a section with a café serving delicious desserts; the entire space was made of wood, and there were some stairs leading to a spot with a glass floor—something very beautiful and unique, both inside and outside where the flag was. From there, you could see the ocean—a very beautiful view—although the photos didn’t turn out very well because there were houses there that blocked the view a bit.

In Venezuela, there are very few buildings with this kind of glass-floored structure, and to be honest, it was our first time. My daughter was really scared to walk on it—I remember she didn’t want to do it and was holding onto the railings and her dad. I would have liked for my son to be with us; I feel like he’s missed out on several trips.

For me, this experience—which took place in 2024—was really wonderful. I don’t know if it’s still the same today or if it might have closed. I hope to return and that my son can visit that place; remembering is living, without a doubt.
