@himu01's thread
Yesterday, I suddenly had a strong desire to eat something sweet, and it wasn't just sweet, it was pure old-fashioned laddus. The taste I was familiar with as a child seemed to have disappeared somewhere. So I went out through the alleys in search of a famous old sweet shop. Today's article is about that experience.
As soon as I entered the shop, a wonderful aroma greeted me - a familiar smell of a mixture of ghee, cardamom and sugar. As I looked ahead, I saw sweets of various colors and shapes arranged in rows. However, my eyes were caught on a large cauldron filled with gorgeous golden laddus. Those round and perfect laddus seemed to be calling me. Another type of white laddus was arranged next to it, and they also looked quite tempting.
It is difficult to describe the time when the shopkeeper was filling the laddus in boxes. The aroma was getting stronger. Not only laddus, but also various other types of sweets were attracting me. On one side were beautifully crafted dry sweets, on the other side were hot rasgolla and chamchom. The entire atmosphere of the shop was like something else.
After buying sweets, I started walking home. I thought to myself, it is really great to find the taste of pure tradition in such a place even in the hustle and bustle of the city. These laddus are not only sweet, but also associated with many childhood memories. Maybe that is why the old taste never fades.
