This afternoon, I went to the local fish market to do some shopping. While exploring the market, my eyes suddenly caught sight of a fish vendor's stall. The fish you see in the picture are delicious Aiyar fish. I have many sweet memories of my childhood associated with this fish. When I was a child, when this fish was cooked in my family, I used to get great joy and eat it with great satisfaction.

However, it is a pity that these days, local Aiyar fish is not often seen in the market. There is no question of getting fresh Aiyar fish from the river, and the prices of those that are available in the market are skyrocketing. Still, for the sake of my old favorite, I went to the fish vendor and started bargaining for the price. Even after bargaining for quite some time, the price of the fish was not within my reach. The price the vendor asked was really beyond my budget and purchasing power. After trying and failing for a long time, I had to leave there with a little sadness.

This experience is not new for people from middle-class families like us. Starting from daily necessities to the fish market of your choice, one has to face such a situation regularly. In this tug of war between means and virtue, one has to sacrifice virtue in the end.

In the end, instead of buying the fish, I went to the other side of the market and bought the fish and koi at affordable prices and returned home. Although I regretted not getting the fish, I was able to calm my mind by getting fresh fish and koi within my means. At the end of the day, finding happiness within our means is the real lesson of our life.
