Winter morning means the festival of Pitha Puli in every house of Bengal. The taste of hot pitha is incomparable amidst the foggy morning and light cold. Today, mother has made Chitai Pitha at home. The smoke from the hot pitha taken out of the oven spreads everywhere. The taste of pitha made by mother's hands is always different. The taste of these pithas made with love and care is like sticking to the mouth. It is difficult to control the greed when seeing the white pithas arranged on yellow plates on the table spread with red mats.

The small holes on the surface of the Chitai Pitha seem to have created a beautiful design. It was accompanied by delicious duck meat broth and jaggery. When I tore the pitha and dipped it in the duck meat broth and put it in my mouth, I felt an extraordinary taste. The combination of soft fluffy pitha and spicy meat was great. The joy of eating pitha made by mother is different. Even after eating it with a full stomach, my heart is not satisfied. The winter atmosphere and the hot pitha made this day very special.
