That's how I can in a nutshell summarize the week. I had a challenging target to get off. From a first time customer trying to test our quality and delivery stamina to looking for ways to get some other old jobs out. It seems one way or the other it wasn't going to be that possible.
In short, after getting a huge chunk of the workload off the table, I was planning on quitting what was left to at least call it a week. I know it may feel somehow to hear such but running a small scale business can have some pressurizing times where forgone alternatives is very advisable.
I started my Saturday morning on what I may call a slow motion because I was slowing down the pace. articles to pull out, contents to fix into several media handles, work and preparing for service tomorrow and well, I was yet to fully recover from yesterday's stress.
Talking of forgone alternatives, my newly sewn senator wear was part of it. I had some wrap up touches to make it wearable for service tomorrow. I even had to let it go last week just to be sure I was able to at least meet up with service without getting there late.
A time comes that you realize that faith is beyond wears. This is where ‘beware of idolatry comes in’. And what did I even realize on a later date, I wouldn't have still worn that cloth anyway that last Sunday. That hurrying made me miss some vital things that would have shown while dressing up. Just imagine The double frustration it would have been: ‘prioritizing clothes over reaching church on time and still not in the end wire the cloth. Thank God I overcame that temptation.
Getting back to today, I was able to gather up the energy still left to push work just one more. At least our apprentice was around to serve as an added hand. General electricity finally showed up; there was a general outage since yesterday afternoon and upon ALL the tries to fix it was to no avail until today's afternoon. It is more like spending the last 20 hours in a blackout.
You can even see what added to the work shift suggestions. expenses on the table were going to be high and meeting up quality at such a brief time can also be staggering. So when general electricity showed up, it was first more to give it a TRY. And that try paid off. How you just enjoy comfortably responding to a customer’s call; ‘Madam, we will be coming for delivery soon, thank you.
In conclusion, let me add, this week has been a successful wrap in terms of business. Business aside, I have seen other external growth to add to it. We remain very positive that next week will also be very better.
