Early Life and Career
Jagger's path to stardom was unconventional. Initially a school teacher, his passion for acting led him to the Lyceum Art Conservatory in Chicago. This decision marked the beginning of an illustrious acting career. His film debut in the silent movie "The Woman from Hell" (1929) was just the start.
He quickly established himself as a reliable character actor. However, it was his Oscar-winning performance in the 1949 movie "Twelve O'Clock High" that truly highlighted his talent and versatility.
